My name is Nicole Block of the Nic Studio. I do stationary and illustrations, and I specialize in custom wedding invitations and special event invitations. My website is thenicstudio.com and I'll be talking to you today about wedding invitations. Not all wedding invitation styles go with all fonts, that swirly, whirly fancy font that you saw on screen may look great there but it's not going to go with your rustic farm looking invitations. So you got to be realistic about the fonts that you want, if your designer picks a font for your set, they did so for a reason, they know what they're doing. Now if it's a style that you're not so into or maybe you were just hoping for a different style on your invitation, let your designer know, but let them pick the font in that style set that works best for your invitation. If it's a ready to order set, make sure that when you choose a font you ask for a proof from the invitation designer to make sure that that font looks right in your set. Some invitation designers give lots of choices for their ready to order sets, some give only a few. Not every font looks good with every invitation set, I can't say that enough. Now, if you want something very specific and it does work with your set, expect that you might have to pay for it, not all designers have all fonts in their repertoire and we need to buy the license in order to be able to use the set. Fonts can be very expensive and it needs to be folded into your invitation budget. No comic sands, no papyrus and nothing made for Microsoft screen viewing like verdana.
