Tip Add more protein by adding chopped up beef, turkey, or salmon jerky. Step 4: Make a toasted almond mix Make a toasted almond trail mix by combining 1 cup of toasted almonds, 1 cup pitted dates, 1 cup dried banana chips, 1 cup of dried apricots, 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds, and 1 cup of raisins. Step 5: Make a spicy trail mix Make a spicy trail mix by combining 1/2 tablespoon of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 6 teaspoons of ranch dressing mix, 4 cups of bite size pretzels, 1 1/2 cups of crisp cereal squares, and 1 1/2 mixed nuts in a large brown paper bag. Add the oil and shake. Place the trail mix on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Enjoy these high-protein snacks on the go. Did You Know?
