Soap Carving: Sculpting a Polar Bear's Full Profile
This course is designed for anyone who has ever wanted to be creative and learn how to carve. With a little patience, you can transform a regular bar of soap into a piece of art. We will gather and go over the tools needed, learn the beginnings of how to carve a bar of soap. Basic cuts will be explored and the process of taking a 2 dimensional pattern to a 3 dimensional object. Finishing techniques are discussed for you to choose how you want your polar bear to look. Some materials needed to complete the project are: black sharpie, three toothpicks, cup of water, cotton swab, sandpaper, plastic knife or popsicle stick, pattern (provided in the course), and bar of soap (I prefer Ivory Soap)
