There is really not a "typical" U of M student. We have an incredibly diverse campus, with students coming from all backgrounds. The typical student here at UM-Flint would be a nursing or business student since those are the two most popular majors, wears yoga pants and a sweatshirt on a daily basis, sits in the back rows of a lecture hall to watch netflix and online shop. The type of person that should attend UM-Flint would be a socially-driven enthusiast who goes after many student organizations and strives to be great.

I think this campus is great for any student. We have students from other countries that travel to come to the University of Michigan-Flint, so we have a diverse culture on campus, which is great. There is a group for everyone. Everyone is welcomed and everyone can fit in at this University. I have surely enjoyed being a University of Michigan-Flint student.

I would say that I am a typical student at University of Michigan - Flint. That is the working mother that has chosen to re-enter into school in order to further her education. The job market has progressed so that it is necessary to have a degree to back up your experience.
