At Wake Forest University, there are endless opportunities to get involved. Wake Forest is a very greek school, so the one of the top 3 things that students do for fun is join a sorority or fraternity. Here, you can meet incredible friends and give back to the community with philanthropy events. Another thing that students do for fun is to get involved in clubs on campus. There are clubs for every interest, including a club that allows students to rent puppies on the quad as a stress relieving and fun activity. Thirdly, students can join club sports such as club tennis, golf, or fishing to continue doing something they love and to stay active.

  1. Every October, Wake Forest hosts an event called Project Pumpkin, which tends to be the highlight of everyone's Fall semester. During Project Pumpkin, our upper quad gets transformed into a haunted Halloween spectacle! There are about 100 booths set up with games, candy, prizes, and students dressed in Halloween costumes. Children from the Winston-Salem area visit each booth for a fun-filled evening. Because many areas of Winston-Salem are dangerous for young children to roam through at night, Project Pumpkin gives these kids a chance to experience Halloween in a safe and friendly environment. It is a tradition that all Wake Forest students love.
  2. The motto of Wake Forest is "pro humanitate". Our students love participating in and conducting service projects on campus, in the Winston-Salem community, and all over the world! Each year, we raise millions of dollars through various fundraising events, such as soccer tournaments, dance marathons, and All You Can Eat contests. Serving is what we love to do, and never once has it seemed like a chore. Our fundraisers are fun for everyone involved, and we continue to uphold the image of our student body as a service-oriented group of students.
  3. As many already know, Wake Forest University is a Division-1 ACC school. During the Fall and Spring seasons, our students love supporting our athletic teams, especially at football and basketball games. As Demon Deacons, we will stop at nothing when it comes to cheering for our teams. Attending Wake Forest sporting events is always a great break away from the rigorous school work we always find ourselves engrossed in, and it brings us together as students.
