Challenging academics but the kids here are not wound up too tightly. This school is costly, but they give the best merit scholarship package of the top end academic schools. Believe me I applied and was accepted to them all. GREAT merit aid at Case Western.

Someone should attend Case Western Reserve only if they wish to be challenged to the point of almost breaking but in the end being able to take on anything. As a student I have spent countless hours studying even on topics that I feel proficient in and I still strive to do better. These three reasons are from my perspective of the school: 1) To have a close knit community of students who are willing to collaborate and work together on everything whether it be for classes, organizations or even small family issues. Case is essentially another family with a large number of support groups. 2) There are so many resources available to students to help learn topics. Almost all classes have a supplemental instructor who sits in class with the other students and goes over any material that may have been confusing, all professors have office hours which students can take advantage of, there are student tutors available for free, and everyone in their first year receives a personal librarian to help with finding articles or any resources necessary from the library. The list goes on with what is available to Case Western students. 3) To have fun and enjoy FOOD. Case Western Reserve University has so many cool places to visit, see and do different activities. If anything is out of the way one can simply take the public transit system which literally runs through the middle of the campus, take the railway to downtown for baseball games, movie theaters and different restaurants. There are many different restaurants in the area and with the wonderful new app that came out we are able to order from almost anywhere and have it delivered or picked up. The meal plans provided are always enough for students to get their fill.

One of the top reasons for going to Case would be to study some form of engineering. Professors are nice and willing to help students should they need it (which many of us do). There are plenty of resources and opportunities to use what you've learned and apply them to actual projects, like ThinkBox, which is Case's innovation center that offers 3D printing services and other necessary tools to make your ideas come to life.

Aside from being a great school for engineering, the students at Case make your experience there all the more better. You get the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and generally nice people. I know I can safely say that the people I've met there so far have made my experience even more enjoyable.

The last reason I believe someone should attend Case is to have the opportunity to take part in some of the various clubs and organizations. This allows you to be able to interact with people with similar interests and put on special events related to your club for others to see. For example, Case has a Juggling Club that puts on a small circus event every year. This is just one of the various different groups that allows you to be a part of something fun.

The first reason would be to get a stellar education with an environment that is focused on academic achievement. The second reason is to meet a lot of cool people with innovative ideas, not only peers, but professors who are at the top of their fields. The third reason would be to improve one's self.
