The most unique thing about La Verne students is that we all seem to know each other. The campus is so small, that even if you do not know someone by name, you would have at least see them walking around once. ULV students are very supportive to one another, especially within majors. If you're the type of person that would like to get closer to professors and your classmates, La Verne is the school for you.

Since La Verne is a small private school, I believe students who are introverts should attend here. Also, to meet new people and have a fun college experience with a nice social life.

University of La Verne is a small, private college. If anyone is interested in attending, they must be a person who enjoys a smaller-than-average campus. Also, a student at La Verne is not one who is intimidated by the size of the class, but feels overly encouraged to speak up because of the beneficially small professor to student ratio. Overall, the typical student knows a good amount of other students due to the tight-knit community.

Most of the students are commuters at this school, but for students like myself that live on campus i like to be involved heavily on my studies while trying to maintain a social life. I don't like to say that there is a specific person that should attend ULV, but you should come open to the idea this is a very small school and a very small town. Try and make as many friends as possible, even if you aren't in a sport, club, or greek life (I am not in any of these) and I have made numerous friends just by going to different events put on by the school or by getting close to my floormates!

The wonderful thing about University of La Verne is that there is no typical student. This is such a diverse school and has students from all ages and walks of life. There is a wonderful continuing adult education program called CAPA, which brings in adults with life and work experience to the school in addition to your "typical" undergrad students. Students range in diversity, interests, and aspirations. If you are looking for a school where there's no "type" or mold that you must try and adhere to ULV is a perfect fit!

The typical University of La Verne student is someone who's very approachable and generally kind. Personally, when I took my tour of the campus, I was shocked at how many students had come up to my tour group and I and told us how much they loved it here and how much approachable everyone was. Even today, I can go up to any student on campus and simply strike up a conversation and it's not weird. That's crazy!
