The top three extracurricular activities at George Washington High School is volleyball, basketball, and softball. However, I am not involved in any of these. I would recommend people to become involved in swimming, water polo, and National Honor Society. By being involved in swimming, whether on the boys or girls team, you are able to meet many people who will be great friends through your years in high school. With water polo, you are able to do the same as well as work as a team to win each of the games and possibly make it far, possibly to city championships. With National Honor Society, you are able to participate in many community service activities as well as meet many people and be considered a high standing student within the school.

Sports and theatre are the most common extracurriculars. I was involved in soccer and I am currently involved in pep club. I would recommend getting involved into whatever interests you, clubs are great for meeting other students outside of your classes and developing relationships over a similar interest or talent.

Three extracurricular activities that are popular at George Washington High School are football, soccer, and basketball. I would recommend joining the soccer team because everyone in the team has a good self esteem and everyone gets along. The team has many talented players that if you join the team you will feel competitive towards your teammates. Also you will make new friends and discover the different ethnicity's in the team.

The three most popular extracurricular activities that have the most participation in them would probably be Civics Club, Marching Band, and one of the journalism publications, either The Chatterbox, the school's newspaper, or The Cavalier, the school's yearbook. These three activities are something that I would recommend to anyone. The Civics Club, which is dedicated to community service, is by far the most active club at George Washington High School in that each month of the school year, a different community service project is done; either cleaning the Veteran's Memorial at the park or taking children from the Big Brothers Big Sisters program to mini-golf at Tiny Town. Although we have a great football team, the marching band often steals the Friday night football game goers attention at half time. Our marching band has a new bright theme every year and always wins several awards at competitions up and down the east coast and midwest. Finally, I would really recommend joining a publication, particularly The Cavalier. Students work very hard and tediously to create a beautiful yearbook each year which never fails to bring awards home to the Eagles.
