At Redlands High School the three central extracurricular activities are football, Mock Trial, and tennis. Like most United States educational institutions, the football program is an integral part to the school as a whole. Not an extremely selective program, football does have the greatest amount of participants. On the other hand, Mock Trial is unusually selective in choosing its members. The pride of Redlands Senior High School, the Redlands Mock Trial has a plethora of accolades, including a recent first place finish at the state level. Slightly less rigorous as football and slightly less selective as Mock Trial, the tennis team offers an incredibly entertaining diversion from the monotony of daily school life.
In terms of recommendations, I would recommend Mock Trial and another less popular extracurricular, Academic Decathlon. As stated above Mock Trial of Redlands High School is a prestigious institution with many accolades. Additionally to it's winning ways, Mock Trial offers one valuable experience to the world of debate and trials. Not as popular as its counterpart Mock Trial, Academic Decathlon is just as prestigious. An intensive, thought provoking class Academic Decathlon allows students to absorb the cultures of the world outside of the United States. History, economics, art, science, rhetoric, and mathematics are all covered in Academic Decathlon. Furthermore, Academic Decathlon presents the student with the opportunity to become close with a peer. Those in Academic Decathlon develop a familial bond, stronger than any other sport.
