The typical UWW student is very spirited and proud to be a Warhawk. We are very supportive of our sports, school, arts, and various other programs. At the sports game, it's tradition to shake your keys. For every touchdown we score, a cannon goes off. The marching band is also very supportive of of the athletic program. supporting the team along with the student. Students are also very generous and involved. It is odd to see doors closed in the dorms or to be alone anywhere because someone will approach you. Multiple food drives, blood drives, clothing drives, and other events happen throughout the year. It's hard not to be involved with all the opportunities on campus, from the donations and drives to clubs and sports. It's one giant family in Whitewater.

I do not consider myself a typical University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student. Most of the kids here like to party and they don't take their education all too seriously. However, the campus is great place to live, and I think that there is a lot to get out of attending this university. If you want to take your education seriously and still have a little fun on the side, then Whitewater is for you!

Well, seeing as I can't judge everyone, however the general atmosphere is very friendly and open. There is literally room for any and everyone here! We have so much to offer, it is almost impossible to not call this place my second home.

A student coming from a suburban, middle-income family who enjoys being close to the city (1 hour from Milwaukee, Chicago, or Madison), but in a calm, country-side town. Good education yet not snobbish. Students can relax on the weekend, enjoy the outdoors, and have some fun.

There is no specific "type of person" that should attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Our school population consists of people from all different walks of life. We have our athletes as well as people that run organizations, to individuals who have disabilities, and all have a significant impact on our institution. We embrace diversity. With that being said, people are extremely accepting.

Typical students actually take school seriously, they have fun but are there to learn. A lot of students attend Whitewater for accounting and business, however, they also have an excellent science program that is overlooked due to their reputation as an accounting/business school. While the school seems small, it is actually the second largest UW system school.

I would consider the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater a very diverse school. There is not a type of "typical student" at the University because everyone here is different. However, I do believe there is a certain type of person that should attend the University. I believe people who value their education and respect diversity should attend the University.

Once again, this question is a bit different for me as a graduate student. However, as a non-tradition student, I believe that a typical student here can be from all nationalities, religions, backgrounds, etc., all on a similar journey to education.
