Well, MCTC has quite a few clubs people can join. Anything from social justice groups, to sports, video gaming, to book clubs. There's also a really great outdoor area that many people congregate at. On a nice day it's a great place to do homework. There's also a small but nice gym area in the basement. The fitness instructors offer free personal training, so that's awesome.

Well, I haven't started taking classes on campus yet (one more month!), but I can elaborate on my own pass times! When I'm not working or doing homework (currently taking a course online), I love to read, run, and bike.

I have always liked reading; my mom used to take me to the library as a kid and I would leave with no less than 15 books each time. My genre preferences are always changing. Currently, I'm reading a fictional story but I will eat up anything from a novel to a text book.

I started running as a stress reliever in college (yes, I'm going back for another Bachelor's degree). That was at least five years ago, now, and since then I've run two marathons. It is still a great way to debunk stress, but has turned in to a passion of sorts. Running is challenging for me. Even as I become better at it, it is still difficult. It is that difficulty that makes it so satisfying.

The biking is a newer hobby that I actually picked up as a supplement to the running. Easier on the joints. I saved my money for an entire summer to buy a new bike on sale during an "end of summer" sale. I've never been more proud of a material possession. I was devastated when one night someone cut my lock and stole my wheels! A friend of mine who works at a bike shop helped me find some new wheels for a good price and I was back in action. One of my favorite places to ride is around Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet in Minneapolis.

MCTC is a very artsy, and diverse college so there are fun things going on all the time that keep us all connected Im going to have to say the 2 hour free yoga on Fridays has to be in the top three funniest things we do around here, thats a very popular event! The spring fashion show put on by the fashion, cinema, photography, and design departments is always phenomenal and brings in a lot of students, and lastly loring park, located in our schools backyard, Its a place for students to mingle, study, play tennis, longboard, shoot photos, and be outside and get that fresh air, Its were everyone hangs out. We also have a community garden in the park that everyone contributes too so thats pretty awesome as well. Were a holistic and artsy crowd around here at MCTC and I wouldn't go to school anywhere else!
