Most schools have websites with teacher pages or email addresses available. If you search your child's school on the internet, you should be able to find out more information. If all else fails, you can call the school's main office and ask how to go about this.

Some school districts, even in the 21st century, don't require teachers to have a professional email account through the school. I agree with Amy -- but if you don't see teacher links on the school's webpage, your son's teachers might not be required (yet) to post an email address.

In my experience, most teachers prefer to correspond by email as it saves time. I suggest leaving a phone message at the school for the teacher and leaving your email address. Ask him/her to reply if at all possible by email. Most, I believe, will be inclined to do so.

I agree with what both Amy and Dr. Aaron have said. I would also add that if you are available, go to your son’s Back to School night which is usually held in early fall. This will give you an opportunity to speak with the teachers directly and find out the best way to get in contact with them.

Amy is right! Might I also suggest that you follow up with the teacher(s) to see if they got your email. A lot of school's firewalls are so protective that the emails may not get through initially until the teacher makes it safe and takes it out of the junk or spam folder.
