Lowell High is such a big school, with almost 4,000 students, so there is something for everyone. The most popular extracurricular activity is sports. We have fall, winter, and spring sports including football, soccer, hockey, cross country, lacrosse, basketball track, even skiing and golf. Lowell high school has over 20 varsity sports. I would recommend sports because we have different teams ranging from freshman to varsity for varying skill levels. Doing a sport is fun because you can remain active while spending time with friends and having fun. The arts are very popular. We have band, show choir, theater, and dance. We also have over 25 clubs including the outdoor adventure club, international language club, environmental club, chess club, and many more.

The 3 most popular extracurricular activities at Lowell are the plethora of volunteer organizations and service clubs, athletics, and STEM (robotics, programming, research, etc.). I would personally recommend you do at least one volunteer group and one other club, and make an impact in both.

The three most popular extra curricular activities at Lowell High School would definitely be the Cross Country, Volleyball, and Track teams. Personally, I would include the boys and girls gymnastics team because of the fact that it was considered not a sport and cut off by all Massachusetts high schools. But thankfully to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association it is now back and running at several high schools in Massachusetts. And since the it's popularity grows steadily each year. With that said, I would strongly recommend joining the Lowell High Gymnastics Team.

The most popular extracurricular activities at Lowell are Orchestra, Varsity Sports, and Theater. My favorite extracurriculars are Varsity Mens' Volleyball, Agape Christian Fellowship, and the Science Research Club.
I love being a member of the Men's Volleyball team because I love to have a physical outlet (Lowell is famous for academics) and because I like working in a team. My team made the City Championships and came in second citywide.

I love being a member of the Agape Christian Fellowship because I like the accountability of my club members. There are so many temptations to to the wrong things during this period of my life that it is good to talk to others and mutually encourage each other to take the right path.

The Science Research Club is awesome because they invite professionals to discuss their career in science so that I can try to narrow some of the educational choices for college.

Both of these extracurricular programs have a strong sense of community, welcoming members, and interesting/ engaging activities.
