Student, Wisconsin Dells High School, Class of 2015,
In relation to other schools in the South Central Conference, yes. If you were considering larger schools in Southern Wisconsin, maybe not. When I was a freshman, WDHS was an extremely enjoyable place to come learn and develop life skills. We would have fun assemblies and give recognition where recognition was due, celebrating all of the students achievements. Whether is was academically, athletically, or in any other extra-curricular activities, we helped give credit to all students who dedicated their hard work into something at school. These days, however, there isn't really any recognition of anyone. There is absolutely no school spirit here, whatsoever. All of our old traditions have been revoked and this is a place strictly to come learn. With a lack of many courses available in other schools, I would recommend checking in to what courses would benefit your future and comparing whether the Dells would offer it or not. The areas of classes we do offer, generally, have excellent teachers who know their material very well.
