At Valley View High School there are many extracurricular activities that are available for all students to participate in. These activities range from a Ping-Pong club to to ASB. If there is an activity or topic/subject that a group of students are interested in, all they have to do is find an adult that will agree to supervise the club and that group is eligible to create their own club! One of the most popular activities would be athletics, such as basketball, football, volleyball, water polo, swim, golf, tennis, etc. Another one would be Associated Student Body, or ASB. In this club students work together to plan and organize school activities. Activities such as pep assemblies, dances, sponsor the Theater program, and even approve activities for other clubs to perform. ASB really helps to create a sense of school pride and excitement. Lastly, an additional extracurricular activity that is quiet popular at Valley View would be a club called Failure is not an Option, or better known as F.I.N.A.O. I myself am a member of this club and it has truly inspired me to help others. F.I.N.A.O is not only a club that provides students with assistance in the academic area, but emotion help. The number of the high students that are committing suicide is increasing, so our goal as a club is the help students and be there for them before it is too late. All in all, the extracurricular activities I would definitely recommend would be athletics, ASB, and FINAO.
