The quality of instruction alone would be reason enough to attend ULV. Professors are just as passionate as all of their students and really take the time to ensure each and every student is comfortable with the material. In addition, the students around you are just as passionate and excited about being there and being involved in the campus and community. This brings me to the third reason, this campus is absolutely stunning! Sitting right next to downtown La Verne, ULV is really just breathtaking with all of its shady greenery and beautiful architecture. Its location also means no shortage of small business hole-in-the-wall places that really go unmatched in quality and experience.

The University of La Verne is small, and thereby personal when it comes to student-professor interaction. Despite our small student population, we are very spirited in all we do- from sports to our debate team. Lastly, we have terrific connections to help students transition from our college to the work force.

The university of La Verne is such a great school. As a transfer student the University really helped me adapt to all the changes of a four year university. The university has so many great community programs that really help students give back to the communities surrounding the university. The university also is a smaller campus which means students will have a much more personable experience.

The top three reasons someone should attend University of La Verne is 1. The curriculum. Love the program I am in. 2. The teachers. The first online teacher I had was great. If it wasn't for him I may not have continued after coming back to school while working and being a mother. 3. Flexibility. The online program gave me more flexibility to go to school, earn my degree and still work full time.

The University of La Verne is a private college with an incredible community. Every year that I attended the University I was able to register for the classes I needed without difficulty. Since the school prides itself on community, I was able to jump into college and get involved. I have been part of many organizations and well as had leadership roles on campus, and most of the people I hang out with have done the same. Also, because it is a private school, the class sizes are smaller and more intimate. My professors have known me by name, and I have had one-on-one help if it was needed.

La Verne makes it accommodating for people that have to work full-time jobs and still are able to get an education. They want to help you succeed in your careers. The advisers are very hands on to make sure you are on track and finish as soon as you can. The professors as well are very passionate about teaching and want all their students to understand the subject.

If you want to meet unique people that are from places around the city or are foreign to the city, La Verne might be for you. If you want a school that allows you to involve yourself in various clubs, Greek organizations, and sports, La Verne is probably a good choice for you. Most importantly, if you want to fully divulge yourself into the major of your choice by being taught by teachers full of passion for that subject, La Verne is definitely the school for you.

This is a small suburban campus with small class sizes which is hard to come by, the students and the staff are very helpful and welcoming to new students, and overall the campus is beautiful.

-Its small classes, you get all the attention from the professor -You know everyone on campus and everyone knows you -Its in the middle of a lot of cities: you have backpacking and hiking trails in the next city over, you're only about 40 min from the closest beach, and LA is only 30 min away! For being a small school there's a lot you can work with to have fun, even if you are not heavily involved!

1) ULV has the best professors who truly care about the students and their education. 2) Small class size! I often have 15-20 students in each class. So different than so many schools in Southern California. 3) Diverse population. I love that everyone's beliefs are so respected, embraced, and students genuinely want to learn more.

The top three reasons someone should attend the University of La Verne are: 1. The students! Everyone on campus is not only incredibly nice and warm, but everyone's so very interesting and unique. Everyone has completely different backstories and goals in mind, and getting to know them is great. I found that any other campus I went to, people were cold and secluded. Not at ULV! We're all approachable and would love to get to know and and everyone on campus.

  1. The professors! My first semester freshman year, I was in an abusive relationship. My girlfriend constantly degraded me and generally made me feel like a terrible person for simply wanting to go hang out with my friends. My math professor at the time asked me to stay after class one day, and asked me if I was alright because I had looked oddly down that day. I told her what was going on and she cheered me up, let me know that if she could do anything at all, that she'd be there for me. Along with that, she reminded me that it would be a much better idea to break up with her before Christmas!

  2. The education! The University of La Verne may not be along the lines of Harvard or MIT, but we can certainly hold our own in terms of education. For starters, just about all of the teachers who graduate from ULV have jobs right out of college. Secondly, our debate team is one of the greatest teams in the nation. We've consistently placed high in the rankings, taking even 8th in the nationals in 2013, surpassing the likes of Harvard, USC, and UCLA. Third, our class sizes are very small and manageable. It's incredibly easy to get to know your professors and be able to get some extra help if you need it.

I chose the University of La Verne because of its family atmosphere and the many opportunities offered to get involved in campus activites. I am a student athlete and enjoy the quality coaching and learning curve offered in both my sport and in academic life. Also the university offers a diverse student body and this makes life at ULV very interesting.
