They have a very prestigious engineering program. The campus is beautiful and located at a close proximity to the mountains. The professors are extremely interested in the well being and success of their students.

The reasons why someone should attend Mines are easy to think of. First off, the community is extremely welcoming and everyone talks to each other with respect. Mines students become a second family. Second, the faculty wants every student to succeed. The work load is hard and challenging but there is not one day where if someone has a question the professor won't stop class and answer it. Lastly, Mines is in Golden, CO right outside of Denver. Colorado is beautiful and has multiple cities and towns to escape to on the weekends. A perfect college life involves academics and a social life, and there is no better place to venture out than Colorado.

It has just been ranked the number one engineering school in the country ( we just passed MIT) It has a very high placement rate for graduating seniors It is an incredibly challenging school but you always feel like you are learning something relevant to the industry you will be working in

Firstly, Colorado School of Mines has been analyzed to among the top return on investments for a university in the nation. Bloomberg Business company called Colorado School of Mines the best return on investment for a university in the U.S.. Secondly, it is a small-ish school, with around 9000 students. The relationships with the professors are personal, and they are rarely busy. Lastly, the location of the school is incredible. Cradled up against the Rocky mountains, it is about 2 hours away from anywhere. The scenery is beautiful and there is so much to do in the surrounding towns.

Every member of the staff such as professors or advisors wants this for their students and they are all incredible at what they do.

With the challenge of the school work one can rest assured that their education is excellent. This school also offers extensive out of class help including regular office hours for and group learning sessions. The campus is beautiful with an excellent view of the mountains.
