Tallahassee Community College is a very diverse college. You will get a chance to met a lot of different ethnicities on campus and learn about different cultures. A typical day on campus you see students walking to their classes while others are in the student union studying for a test or eating some grub before its time for their class. If you are the type of student that likes a pretty laid back campus then TCC is definitely the college for you.The students are very friendly and welcoming.

Tallahassee Community College is a place for first time college students that are wanting to not be thrown into the college world headfirst. Places like FSU are intimidating to younger students ad TCC really works to prepare you for the large-scale universities.

I would describe TCC's typical student as someone who enjoys socializing, yet motivated to complete your scholarly pursuits. Whether you're completing a two year degree, or planning on transferring to a 4 year university the professors make it their sole mission to help you accomplish your goals. They genuinely care about your plans for the future as well as your education.

A person who is disciplined in their work ethic, has a "stick-to-it" attitude, and is willing to help others. Somebody who is willing to work as a team as education is certainly a team effort.

The type of person that should attend Tallahassee Community College should be an honest, hardworking, caring student. There are a lot of kind people at TCC and we want that to keep being the case. Honesty is important in the classroom and cheating is not tolerated. It takes dedication to complete your classes with good grades. Grades are earned not given. So, a typical TCC student should have those qualities.

If you are a student who did not receive any type of full ride scholarship, if you are a student who received mediocre grades or who just barely slid by in high school, if you are not prepared for a large university, Tallahassee Community College is a good fit for a student like this.

This question leaves room for some pretty broad answers. TCC is a community college, so it brings people from all different walks of life together under one roof. You could get a middle aged single mom of 3 boys, who is getting her CNA license, or you could get a 19 year old baseball player just looking to take a few summer classes. I will say that most students that attend the school are looking to make a brighter future for themselves. Any student willing to dedicate time and put for real genuine effort, is the right student for TCC.

A typical TCC student is ready for their future having fought to get where they are today. It takes a lot of guts as well as determination to decide exactly what it is that you want to do with your life and then do it. Someone should only attend college once they are sure and confident in their plans and really ready to handle what life is going to throw at them.

A lot of students at TCC students are local students who found it easier financially to stay at home and go to school. A lot of students work as well as go to school. Some students were students who tried getting into FSU and didn't meet the requirements so they decided to go to FSU's sister school. Students at TCC vary in many ways, but a common thing among all students is kindness. Everyone at TCC is open and friendly and it makes going to classes an enjoyable experience. If you like the small classroom settings then this is the school for you, professors are more willing to help you than if you went to a big University.
