Since Skyline High School is the newest school in the region, the students here seek to push our abilities to the limit to prove that a new and upcoming school can compete with those already well-established. We are widely accepting of all types of people and thrive by learning about our unique differences. Our school community encourages us to ask deep questions and innovate; The Magnet Programs provide opportunities to delve deep into one's specific career interest while fostering creative solutions. Athletics are a big deal at Skyline - being such a new school means we have the thrill of often breaking varsity records and placing higher than ever in the state. However, being so deeply connected to our university town means that academics go side by side with sports in students' aspirations. As stated in our motto, our agile minds and big hearts are vital tools to make discoveries in this fun and supportive environment. Come to Skyline if you want to collaborate with peers motivated to make a difference on a local and even global scale.

The type of student to attend Skyline High School would be a normal student. Meaning anyone who is eligible for high school, wants an education, and is willing to work for success. The reason for this is that no one can make you go to school, but no one can stop you from wanting to. If you are already a Skyline High School student you would know that you can miss every day of school, along with an education, and success. However if you are a true-capital 't'-Skyline High School student you also know that you can work every day of school, and you can work at an education, and success. So the kind of student to attend Skyline High School would be a normal student

The type of student that should attend Skyline High School is some one who is open to new experiences. There's so much diversity at our school and many different types of classes we offer. There's always something you'll eventually find that you enjoy doing, such as an art or computer class. You have to be willing to sign up for that random dance class or some photography class instead of going with a simple class you're comfertable with.

A rigorous person, who has the desire and potential to succeed, to exceed and go far beyond the usual student who only comes to school to pass, not to learn. A student who will work day and night, to their best and fullest abilities just to show, to prove they are capable of being beyond the normal student. The responsibility, and great work habits play a significant role, along with being a role model and to not follow, but to lead his or her fellow colleagues. It is important to sustain your work ethic, your charisma, and your desire to succeed. That is the type of student to attend Skyline High School.

Someone who will laugh at their mistakes, but still find a way to change it. Someone who cries at their failure, but continues to progress past their imperfections. A common misconception is crying about your mistakes is useless. I say it isn't. Crying gives you the release you need before going on to succeed in something you love. Therefore, my conclusion is Skyline High School students have the mindset of letting go of their mistakes instead of cutting it off directly, creating a higher chance of development for each student.

Skyline High School is very diverse, so it welcomes any kind of students. Something that makes it unique, though, is its programs: STEM and VPA. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is a great program for anyone who would like to pursue engineering post-high school or is only interested in it during high school - both types of students can enter. Skyline STEM students also have the option to complete a STEM certificate by completing some additional classes not required for general graduation. Students who complete this program have a direct link to the engineering program at CU. VPA (Visual and Performing Arts) is another terrific program that Skyline High School students can participate in. Students in this program focus on either visual arts or performing arts and have an advisor that encourages to get the certificate for the program and helps them to make sure they are getting the classes they need to get this certificate. Skyline also has great performing arts activities after school. Skyline High School puts on 3 theater productions each year: a musical, a play, and a set of one acts that the Skyline seniors direct (including picking out their cast and sometimes even writing the play themselves). Skyline also has a drama club where the students are highly involved in running it and elect student officers at the end of every year to run the club the next year!
