Student, Chattahoochee High School, Class of 2016,
The top three extracurricular activities at Chattahoochee High School (Hooch) are within the athletics department, music department, and school clubs. The most popular being the football team followed closely by the band program. The third most popular e.a. is the organization FBLA. The band at Hooch has nearly 200 students in it, whereas the football program has approximately 50 students in it. However, football games rack in hundreds of students to cheer the team. Also, football games include the support of the marching band, the cheerleaders, and the football trainers, which is why football is viewed as the most popular extracurricular at Chattahoochee. But, more students are actually involved in the band program or FBLA than they are in the football team. As a band student myself, I would recommend any musically related extracurricular activity, whether it be band, chorus, orchestra, or drama. Each of these programs are well known for their 'family-like' hospitality. The teachers in each one of these programs are adored by their students, and kids feel comfortable and safe to talk to them privately.
