Student, Douglas High School, Class of 2016,
Douglas High School offers many options for students looking to get more involved outside of school hours. I believe that the three most popular extracurricular activities at this school are Leadership, National Honor Society, and Block D. Though leadership is offered as a class at DHS, so much of it takes place after school, on weekends, and occasionally throughout the night. The leadership class of Douglas High is responsible for planning school homecomings, serving the community, and so much more. There are currently over sixty students enrolled in this class and I would seriously recommend leadership to any students looking to get involved in the activities of DHS. NHS is also a very popular activity at Douglas High for many reasons. It offers students opportunities to get involved in community work projects as well as get more involved at school. Finally, Block D is an organization composed of athletes who have earned a varsity letter in any sport that the school offers. This extracurricular club is a great way to get involved in community work projects and so much more.
