The type of student that should attend VCU is definitely one who LOVES the city and one who can appreciate many different cultures because the environment is so fast paced and upbeat and the school is very well diverse. There is never a dull moment at this school and I love it, especially when its a warm day outside, many students conjugate in Monroe Park to play games or to just relax. It also seems as though the place never sleeps, there will be students in the library until 6am, then walk to their dorm, although it is in the heart of the city and people say its crime filled, I still feel very safe. This is such a diverse school that we have over 600 organizations and many more that will eventually be created to meet each students needs, there is a place for everyone to fit in here and that is why I love this school.

I personally believe that anyone one could attend Virginia Commonwealth University because it has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The students on the campus are so loving and kind, we are much like a family. The best thing about VCU is that it is very diverse, students have so many opportunities to study abroad, apply to internships or even just volunteer for community work. VCU has so many amazing programs that range from arts, biology, criminal justice, nursing and so much more. If one doesn't know what they would like to purse, the campus has many caring and loving advisors to help students find what they would like to do career wise. I personally believe that it is am amazing place.

A VCU student should be very open minded and driven. Around campus you will see people of various backgrounds, with varying ideas, lifestyles and opinions. In the classroom you are expected to be determined and a hard worker. The classes are challenging, but rewarding, with interesting topics that will help keep you motivated. Being at VCU is a great place where you will love your classes, and look forward to the next day at school.

Students who love the Richmond area but who are also ready to advocate for a better school should attend VCU. While it's the only school I'd want to be at, VCU has a huge problem with corporate greed. The prices for everything goes up each year. Several multi-million dollar construction projects occur at once while bright, deserving students don't even receive moderate scholarships. The type of students who should attend VCU are ones who are passionate about making a good school great. Those students should help make VCU a more accessible institution for their peers instead of an institution that caters only to its own pocket. We always need more students willing to fight for social and economic equality.
