Someone who is not comfortable in an urban environment should not attend my university. Campus spreads across many city blocks, and you will not always be on GSU property, this means the inevitable interaction with the general population of downtown Atlanta, which can be worrisome at times.

A student who is opposed to racial and ethnic diversity. They both have direct and indirect positive effects on the educational outcomes and experiences of college students. Racial and ethnic diversity on campus provides educational benefits for all students—minority and white alike—that cannot be duplicated in a racially and ethnically homogeneous setting.

A student who is opposed to gender inclusive housing. Also any student who is opposed to the CPS program, Georgia State University’s Counseling & Psychological Services Chapter of the Association of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender, Intersex, and Queer or Questioning. This group also provides social support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer or questioning students and allies by sponsoring informal social events intended to build membership solidarity and sense of community. They promote greater awareness and understanding of sexual minority issues among students of CPS programs, the College of Ed and Human Development, and campus-wide.

If you want the traditional college experience, Georgia State may not be for you. There isn't a heavy Greek presence. Not to mention the campus isn't much of a campus as it is school buildings spread around downtown. However, it has great facilities and if you don't mind the non-traditional aspect, it would be a great college for you.
