The faculty and staff push you to be the best version of yourself and want you to succeed. The Lynchburg community is in itself a family. It is always a great day to be a Hornet.

  1. Our programs are top notch. Every year it seems like one of our professors is getting recognized for something, like this year when a physics teacher calculated accurate result times for the 2015 tour de France. They have a huge desire to share their knowledge with their students and work with them to help them not just succeed, but grow.
  2. The community here is the best in the world. There's a unique culture of southern hospitality meets liberal arts in our school and town, so everyone goes out of their way to help each other and also has varying views and opinions that are well received by our peers. All the seniors seem to be able to spot a lost freshman a mile away and always keep them under their wings. We even have a mentor ship program for difficult classes where students who have already passed the class sit in and run study sessions for the first time students.
  3. There's always something to do! Whether it's movies being hosted on the courtyard, or it's ice cream parties or craft tables that show up, or even the Greek life groups that host special events and fundraisers on campus, there is never a moment to be bored. Lynchburg is an active school that's dedicated to keeping a tight knit family that stays connected far beyond our college years. Our hornet hive is busy and buzzing, and our alumni are constantly coming back to the nest to support us through scholarships and programs. There's no such thing as being bored in Lynchburg, every time you walk outside your dorm your family is there to rush you off into something new.

I personally think students should choose Lynchburg over any other school because students feel welcomed here to be whoever they are. Everyone at Lynchburg accepts everyone and thats a major reason why I choose this school. Another reason is that this is a smaller community compared to James Madison or VCU. There are also alot of academic opportunities such as joining a student body/

If you're looking for a small school Lynchburg College is a good choice. It's also good if you want to be able to talk to your professors whenever you need to. Because of the smaller class sizes professors are normally available if you need help with anything. I don't really know much about sports but I've heard that we have good teams. If that's something that interests someone that would be another reason.

1) If you want a learning environment wherein you will know most of the people you see as you walk across campus-- students, faculty, and staff-- and where you are treated as family. 2) If you want a learning environment that is vibrant with a TON of resources to utilize in order to make your studies more effective, and to propel you into a successful life after college. 3) If you like to have a good time with people you can trust at parties on the weekends, you can feel safe to have fun and not be surrounded by strangers.

Lynchburg College is a small college, you are able to get one on one help with the professors. It is easier to make connections with the staff and in the community. Everything at Lynchburg just seems better especially for someone who isn't sure about what they want to do in the future. Their staff and advisors are very friendly and always there to help. They have helped me choose my courses and actually figure out what I wanted to be.
