A typical SU student is someone who is willing to be friendly and open. Here at SU we are a big family, with that, students need to be willing to meet new people and open. I don't think that in the past week I haven't walked outside and found people smiling and laughing and talking to people.

A traditional student at Shenandoah University will always have a smile on their face. This is such a happy campus. Anyone will help you in any way they can and do it with joy. We will also always have our backpacks. We are big in academics and know that we are here for an education as well to have fun.

I do not believe that there is one specific type of person that attends Shenandoah University. It is a very divers campus. Some people are very religious, some are gay, some are athletic, and some are very artistic. Everyone is unique in their own way.

The typical day of Shenandoah University student would mainly consist of going to class, maybe hanging around the student center interacting with friends, then going back to their dorm to relax, study or hang with more friends. When I lived on campus, it was pretty quiet. For the most part, everybody knew each other and were very friendly. I feel any type of person could go to Shenandoah. Shenandoah is very diverse, whether it be race-wise, interest-wise, or career-wise. We are a conservatory school, so if you have a love for music, dancing and art, that all is a plus. However, that does not limit to the type of people who attend Shenandoah.

Everyone I have ever met at SU has been very friendly - everyone smiles at each other when walking past. The students here are committed to their major but aren't afraid to try something new. They are always looking to lend a helping hand to the community.

The typical student at SU is someone who is very friendly and comes from a well raised family. We at SU feel that since we are a small university that it should be more of a family environment and an open door policy. Everyone on campus is more then friendly and is always wiling to help out that lost Freshman.

Students at Shenandoah are outgoing and active in the campus, as well as the surrounding community. Community service is a big component at Shenandoah University. Citizenship is taken to a new level. Not only is it important to be active locally, but globally. Learning takes place both inside and outside of the classroom. Students desiring to go to Shenandoah should want to challenge themselves and expand themselves from within.

Shenandoah University's usual student would be open-minded and accepting to the beliefs and values of others. This is generally speaking of course. Shenandoah prides itself in the warm, tight-knit community feeling that comes from the small campus.

Because Shenandoah uses so many technological components that allow for distance learning, the students at Shenandoah are all very diverse. Everyone lives in different places and has different backgrounds and are at different places in their lives, I have people in my class turning 21 and people who are having kids. The university does specialize in health fields so I do get the feeling that there tend to be a lot of helpful altruistic individuals at Shenandoah which is nice to be around.
