Student, Edison High School, Class of 2016,
At my school, football, basketball, and key club are the most popular extracurricular activities. However, there are numerous other extracurriculars worthy of participation. Academic clubs such as robotics, academic decathlon, and science olympiad are not only award-winning at my school, but great ways to develop life skills and advance intellectual abilities. Cultural clubs at Edison High are also an important part of my school's community. Spanish club, Hmong club, and Asian club are only a few of the many clubs that allow students to embrace their heritage and meet peers of the same background at Edison. Lastly, sports are a huge part of the Edison Tigers' pride. After recently winning more than three Division One Valley Championships in the past couple of years, my school prides itself in its athletic accomplishments. Sports at Edison, like at any school, teach us critical life skills: time management, teamwork, and communication.
