Unfortunately, the extracurricular activities at CAM are very limited, since the school focuses on a "four-by-four" curriculum, meaning every student must have four years of English, History, Math and Science. The school is very small, so sports are not offered (many students, including myself, play for neighboring high schools), but there are a few clubs which students are encouraged to participate in. There are only three: Interact, Future Business Leaders of America, and National Honors Society. I have had the privilege of participating in all three, and would recommend the business club and National Honors Society. The business club helped me to realize my talent for public speaking and my interest in marketing, which I plan on pursuing as my college major. It gives students a taste for the competition in the business field and creativity necessary in order to pursue a career in the marketplace. National Honors Society focuses on the community and organizes activities on and off campus. Through such activities, such as caroling at nursing homes, the students involved form a close bond with each other and are able to create a positive impact on their community while enjoying themselves at the same time.
