Jefferson students have a lot of school pride and work hard to well in school. They get along with a lot of the school and can usually carry some kind of conversation with almost everyone.

The typical Thomas Jefferson student is proud of their peers, and determined to accomplish something worth being proud of. We are not known for successful sports teams or our academic achievements (although those factors are still very apparent), but for the undying pride of being a jacket that every student has. We win some and we lose some, but the inner victory of being a student at Thomas Jefferson is unwavering.

School starts at 7:50 and you're late by 7:55 The average student wake up around 6:30 to get ready for the day, they eat breakfast and are at TJ by 7:30 and wait for the bell to ring. By 7:50 everyone is in their 1st hour. We have 70min classes so 2nd hour starts at 9:05. We have 5 mins to pass through the hall wayy so halls can get pretty crowded. After 2nd hour we have START which is like home room. After START we have lunch then 3rd, 4th and 5th hour! The day ends at 2:50 for those who aren't in activities. If you were to attend Thomas Jefferson you'd have to have some heart. We're all great students who are very accepting, compared to the other schools in town we're known as the most accepting.

My peers at Thomas Jefferson are hardworking and comical. A vast majority of students (including I) care about are education and how well our grades are. We have a nice balance between work and socializing. When ever my peers and I are done with our work we like to sit back and make one another laugh. It's nice to be around people who want to lift you up.

The typical Thomas Jefferson student exceeds many expectations of what a normal teenager should be. We are all hardworking and extremely resilient. Many of us come from homes below the poverty line and a lot of work one or more jobs on top of school and extracurricular activities. But we still manage to become great things and we don't let that define us. The type of person who should attend TJ is someone who can handle anything that comes their way. Someone who can have their own problems but still care about what is happening to others. To be a proper TJ student you have to be someone with heart, willpower, and courage.
