Marshall welcomes everyone. There's a niche for anyone and everyone to find where they feel happiest and most comfortable. Colleges know the level of academics at Marshall and recognize the hard work put in by its students. The IB curriculum is rigorous but, in the end, incredibly beneficial in teaching how to write, think, create, and discuss.

A student who attends Marshall High School should be good-hearted. At first blush this is simplistic and subjective, but through my four years at Marshall I have learned that regardless of all other possible characteristics of a student: being good-hearted is most valued. Our school is infamous for the saying 'Small School Big Heart," and this mantra alone speaks volumes towards our values. In an age where bullying and cyberbullying are major concerns Marshall is able to boast never having the slightest problem with it. Our students feel safe and protected and all of this can be accredited to the culture within Marshall. Because the students who attend Marshall High School are good-hearted they are consequently respectful, kind, compassionate, and empathetic. In an effort to continue the outstanding tradition of good-heartedness at Marshall High School any future student should have this characteristic as well.

It does not matter what race, religion, socio-economic background a student has to attend Marshall High School. This is a diverse school that accepts students from all socio-economic backgrounds, but the student must be willing to learn and want to improve himself/herself mentally and socially. The teachers want to work with students to help them achieve their goals and dreams.
