Student, All City Leadership Secondary School, Class of 2017,
The type of student that should attend my school is the one that is mentally and physically prepared for a challenge. Despite the fact of being a public school, a test is required during your fifth grade year, as well as an interview. Students compete with others around the city, and if accepted, are able to fulfill their high school and middle school years. However, my school offers something very unique at the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn, Junior R.O.T.C. Along with the challenging academics, students embark on a journey where they physically train their body and their minds by building character, endurance, and all the traits essential for a leader. The faint hearted will transform...that is if they are willing to put in the work and dedication to be considered an ACLA Student. If the student is one that is attracted to a small, intimate school setting, then this is the school for them due to the fact that our high school and middle school combined is a total of 388 students. If having positive role models is another requirement on the students' list, my school offers just that, especially with our very own Principal, who created the school being raised in the very same community our school is located in, then it is deeply encouraged to apply. In conclusion, those seeking a bright future, student-teacher relationship, safe environment, and staff and student body that cares to get to know each individual, then All City Leadership Secondary School is the best choice for them.
