Central College is a smaller campus so you meet people and get to know them more easily than a larger campus. The class sizes are small and the faculty get to know you. It's easy to get around campus and the town of Pella is nice

  1. Close-knit community
  2. Endless support from students and faculty
  3. In a good location so traveling to Iowa City, Ames, or Des Moines is only a short trip away!

The number one reason to attend Central College is the small school environment. If you are looking for a place to find who you are and be well-known by your professors and other students around campus, Central is the place for you. Another reason is our competitive atmosphere in the athletic department. Many students participate in athletics while on campus and are able to balance everything they have going on very nicely because coaches are willing to work around classes. The third reason to attend Central College is the connection the administration has with the activities going on around campus. The college president is always around campus and is extremely tuned in to what is taking place. He, along with many others in the administrative department, attend a majority of the sporting events, and support everything taking place, including theater and music performances.

1) The relationships between professors and students is very important and many of our professors will go out of their way to meet with students. 2) Central is a liberal arts school, which means we get an education in all areas of study which is especially useful to people who are undecided on their major. 3) We are a very close community where many of us know each other. I feel like this is really important because if you are feeling stressed over school or any other reasons, there is always someone you can go to.

The top three reasons to attend Central are small class sizes, almost every professor has completed their doctorate, and it's easy to get involved! Class sizes are no larger then 30 students and professors hold students accountable if they do not show up for class which is nice because they only want you to receive the best grades. Since most professors have the most knowledge for their field of study helps students get a better education. Weather you are involved in a sport of some other activity around campus you always have ways to get involved!
