Reason 1 would be great tuition rates. I am an out of state resident and it averages about $11,000 per year. Or about $350 per credit. Reason 2 would be diverse degree programs. I am starting with my Associates of Applied Veterinary Technology. Then moving onto my Bachelors of Applied Veterinary Technology. Reason 3, is because most of the degree programs can be completed as an online student. Again I am an out of state resident and work full time. Having a program that I can complete online is a blessing. Especially from an accredited school such as South Florida St. Petersburg College.

The University of South Florida St. Petersburg is in the heart of the city and is also nestled right on the coast. The campus is at the beach! besides the beautiful location, the professors at USF are very distinguished. Most of them conduct independent research while teaching so they are very knowledgeable in their field and I have yet to come across a teacher that isn't willing to help a student out. Besides this, USF is an esteemed college with accolades from innumerable organizations, groups, and companies that benefit from USF business dealings and research. It is in the top five schools here in Florida.

First reason would be because St. Petersburg campus is not large at all and it helps one get the feel of college itself without being deemed a number, instead teachers see every student. Second reason is because it's very bright and beautiful and it has very beautiful and quiet places to study without all of the loud distractions other universities have. And lastly, every student there is quite friendly and willing to help a fellow classmate. It won't be a struggle to find someone who will help you in the class.

One should attend University of South Florida-St Petersburg if they love small class sizes, being in the middle of a city, and love community. The small class sizes give a better teacher to student relationship in which you can talk one on one whenever possible. Being in a city is different from most universities in that it is located near everything. You don’t have to travel far to shop, eat, or go to the movies. Everything is in walking distance. Being part of a community is very important to USFSP because the student body is so small. This makes it easy for everyone to get involved in their interest. We thrive on introducing new people to all the clubs and activities here to make a more enjoyable college experience.

it's access to the Poynter Institute and other connections downtown in st. pete it's it's own sort of community-small enough not get lost in, but big enough to always be running into someone new. If you are looking for a school that takes their academics seriously, but also has plenty of social activity, it's a perfect match.
