It is a beautiful place to meet a variety of people. It is a big school with a bit of a small town feel. There are so many different majors to choose form and I haven't had a bad professor yet!
If you love football, the University of Oregon is perfect for you. Also if you are looking to get the best education from all around great professors this is also the place. And if you want to do big things in your future and need internships and references, the University of Oregon is the place you should go.
When deciding whether to attend the University of Oregon, potential students should understand that outdoor activities are a huge part of life on campus. Hiking, climbing, fishing, swimming, running, etc. are expected to be loved by those who attend the university, and it creates a constantly pleasant and fun atmosphere, even on rainy days. The University of Oregon has plenty of niche groups for you to join, so you will find friends easily. Though this isn't to say we are clique-y. Far from--everyone is friendly with everyone else! But should you want to share your specific interests with other people, you'll find that group. The UO is also fantastic for research opportunities. We have many dedicated faculty members willing to take on undergraduate students in their labs which makes for great learning experiences. And our school is of course known for football--come witness and be a part of a perennial college football powerhouse with college's most exciting offense and group of students!
Oregon University offers a great online education program and lots of online degrees. It's a very diverse school and it offers flexible schedules.
Students should come to the University of Oregon because the people here are kind and genuine. Our professors love what they do and are incredibly helpful to students in and out of the classroom. The campus is beautiful and is surrounded my one of the most unique small cities in the country.

Here at the University of Oregon, I feel that we have some of the most amazing faculty that have reached the pinnacle of thier profession. Thier wealth of knowledge is an asset to the campus student community. Here at the University of Oregon are some of the best research in many different types of fields such as Anthropology, Psychology, Human Physiology, and Earth Sciences. Our athletics department is a source of pride and achievement that unites our community and state.
The campus in and of itself is gorgeous. The education is top notch in the country. And the football team is always exhilarating to watch.
UO has good programs and departments with knowledgable staff. The athletics department is strong should one wish to pursue that path. People are friendly and welcoming but care about their academics.

There is an amazing network of U of O graduates that want to hire other Ducks, or help them get hired. 2) It is a beautiful campus to attend school at, where we experience all 4 seasons and there is a lot to do. 3) The U of O has some amazing professors and programs that are some of the top programs in the nation, like the Sports Marketing program in the business school, or the architecture program, etc.
One of the main reasons that I chose to attend the University of Oregon is because of their academics. They have wonderful facilities, professors, and a wide variety of majors. If you are still undecided about your major it is a great place to explore all different kinds of career paths. Another reason I chose to go here is because the campus is stunning. The buildings are fairly modern and there are trees all over campus. The last reason I chose this school is because it has a fun atmosphere. Also, the U of O has one of the highest graduation rates around and it's faculty and professors are very well taught and helpful. Lastly, you should go to the University of Oregon simply to watch the Duck football games!
I would advise someone to attend the University of Oregon for the fun, helpful, and accomplished professors/instructors, the diversity of majors, people, activities, and ways of living, and finally the gorgeous location. All of my professors and instructors are quite personable, have interesting and impressive backgrounds, and have guided my classmates and I to really engage in our own learning and to think independently. As for campus life, I wouldn't even know where to begin; Eugene is such a spunky town that is centered around the university so it's easy to become involved in all types of activities that can really complement your studies, or just provide a good time. Oregon itself is beautiful and our campus is a certified arboretum with over 3,000 trees. There are many times (in the fall especially) that I feel like I am walking through a forest to get to my calculus 3 class. It is stunning!
The University of Oregon has incredible sports teams, it is located in the middle of the most beautiful college towns in the nation, and it has seasons, which many of its students from Southern California do not get to experience every year.
Someone should attend the University of Oregon because it has a beautiful campus, it's very cultured university and you will take the most interesting classes. Plus you might see our mascot once in a while.
The campus is beautiful, even in the rain. The professors really want to see you thrive, they are always available to talk during office hours or even through email. The people you meet here are wonderful and open minded, you never have to worry about being yourself.
Top three reasons someone should attend University of Oregon is first of all, Diversity. If you want to meet new and different ethnicity group then attend UO, plus we have many different kind of clubs that you can get involved in. Second, If you are a type of person who wants to be focused and not get distracted, then attend UO because since we are not located in a big city but have nature and urban feel, you will most likely to focus more on your studies and have a tight feel of community sense on campus. And lastly, the games. Five days a week you are focused on your studies, whether it's for Biology or Journalism, everyone needs to take a break, meaning being able to go to games such as our football games and basketball games which both our teams are good at. And it's nice to go to a game that's actually exciting, also students don't even have to pay for the games, unlike some schools.
Coming from Hawaii, I was nervous about the climate shock I would experience when I made the move to Eugene, Oregon in the early fall. With the worst in mind, I came to Oregon expecting to find the most dreary, rainy place. To my surprise, Oregon has its sunny days! The first and foremost reason I think students should consider coming to school at the University of Oregon is because of the great setting we have. Secondly, the sense of community that is felt here at the U of O is sure to win anyone over. Lastly, the professors are all intriguing, charismatic people that want to see you succeed. All in all, Oregon is pretty cool place to go to school.
Besides the campus being gorgeous in all types of weather, the school is one of the top universities in the country. The professors and GTFs care about the students, and in return, the students care about the professors and GTFs. Lectures tend to be large, but there are usually discussion sections and labs that go along with each big lecture. If not, office hours are a beautiful thing. The amount you learn while here is incredible, and professors really try to teach you things that are applicable to your lives and majors.

Second, there is great food in town as Downtown Eugene has several tasty locations to eat at. Last but certainly not least, is the rich sports culture that the University of Oregon has. University of Oregon has a wide variety of interesting majors and incredible professors. But the top three reasons a person should attend University of Oregon are: 1--The campus is so astonishingly beautiful, every day, rain or shine, the nature and beauty of the campus will take your breath way. 2--You will find your place on campus. There are so many people on campus and off and everyone makes sure to be themselves. Everyone fits in and will feel at home here. Lastly, 3-- There are many opportunities to have small class sizes or large class sizes, whatever you prefer. I personally am in the Clark Honors College. This is a small liberal arts college within the larger research university. Because of this i have the opportunity to have very small classes, a maximum of nineteen people. There are also classes opened to the general university at the underclassman level that have a max of thirty-five student. Or if you so please, you can get into classes that have over 200 people in order to get the college style lecture class feel.
Eugene is a wonderful city. The people who live here are liberal, intellectual, fun, outgoing and friendly. This city is one of the most environmentally progressed in the country and the entire area reflects these values. Our football team is amazing! And The University of Oregon is one of the finest institutions in The Pacific North West.
The friendly faces along with the academic opportunities and great campus. The campus exudes green and yellow, along with everyone in attendance. We love our ducks, and it shows!
The top 3 reasons someone should attend the University of Oregon is as follows: the diversity. I am sure people who choose to attend a university see all different kinds of people. The aspect that makes my school stand out is the acceptance that goes along with it. The staff, professors, and students all care about your opinion and how you choose to live. The second reason is that the University of Oregon has a beautiful campus. There is plenty of trees, squirrels, and architecture of all kinds. Campus is breathtaking on the sunniest of mornings and rainiest of afternoons. The third is the quality of teaching. I've never felt more comfortable in a class than I've felt here, even in a 500 person lecture. Each professor I have had class with pauses plenty in order to establish the ideas presented with his/her students.
The school has good programs in music and business. Another reason people should attend the University of Oregon is great athletic programs. Its a green campus.
If you are an in-state resident, the tuition is pretty good compared to some places. There are hundreds of clubs to join and multiple programs/workshops to help you with whatever you need. Also, our football team. Duh. Go Ducks!
