The University of San Francisco is a positive influence for growth and success due to: 1) the professors. The professors at USF are among the most dedicated teachers that I have worked alongside. They show extreme heart and care for student success and extend resources to beyond the classroom. 2) the opportunities. Each department available for USF students aims to advance their knowledge and world experience. USF students will never be limited to one area of interest and will always be presented with new opportunities to achieve self-growth. 3) the students. USF has selected a large population of students that are kind and warm to one-another. The campus focuses on character development, in which all students work alongside one another to aid in their own growth.

  1. Amazing and caring faculty with fairly small class sizes with a "big university" feel. With small class sizes, one is really able to directly relate with peers and the professor/instructor. 2.The ability to grow with other students as you become involved in campus clubs, jobs, or research opportunities. There are a vast number of clubs and teams on campus which allow immense room for fun, diversity, and personal growth.
  2. Campus is one of the oldest and most architectural pleasing monuments San Francisco has to offer. It truly is one of the most breathtaking (visually and physically) views within the entire city. Its history and foundation speaks for itself whether you're inside a classroom or outside walking around the campus halls. It also has a twist of modernism to compliment the need for expansion for its students.

  • The amount of passion that students & staff have for achieving a balance in humanity is overwhelming. It is wonderful to see so many people care for others' wellbeing.
  • Professors take the time to learn your name. It is a small university (larger than most private universities, but smaller than a majority of colleges), so it is easy to get to know other students and professors easily.
  • It is a diverse campus, a factor that the school takes pride in. Many students hold different interests and come from cultured backgrounds, which drives their dedication to explore the world and make the most of their college experience.

The professors at the University of San Francisco really care about their students. For example, I take a particular interest in my Rhetoric class, as we are learning about the deaf community, and when I have concerns or questions about the topic, my professor is open for discussion, and is available at any time, you just leave an e-mail, and they will get back to you in a reasonable matter of time. Not only are the professors interested in helping you, but so is the staff. The counselors for academic or psychological matters are helpful and attentive to your issues at hand. The second reason you should attend USF is because there's a broad amount of classes that you can take, and discover what you truly want to be. Within those classes, there are internships and programs available to you to help you along your way to achieve your dream job, or experience new job opportunities. Lastly, being in this city creates a lot of adventure on it's own. There is something for everyone here - hiking trails, shopping sights, or even new cafes to try out! San Francisco can inadvertently open your mind to new ideas, and possibilities. There is never a dull moment here, and you begin to challenge yourself in this ambitious city, and truly discover who you want to be, and what you want to accomplish.
