Emory students do travel into Atlanta for a variety of reasons throughout their academic tenure. Some choose to live off campus during their junior and/or senior year. Others venture out to the city's different areas (i.e. Buckhead, Little Five Points, Virginia Highland, etc.) to enjoy the great restaurants, shops, and bars. Additionally, there are many classes that allow for students to partake in activities outside of campus, ultimately enriching the in-classroom experience. Decatur is a short drive from downtown Atlanta and can be easily accessed by bus, car, or Marta.
