The first reason is that the professors at University of Massachusetts-Lowell actually care about their students and are willing to help the in whatever capacity they can. Another reason is that they are several courses that are beyond the average course usually available for students. The tops three reasons go hand in hand. The first one usually works for everyone, but the other two might not. The number one reason why someone should attend Umass lowell is because the cost. It is cheaper than other state schools, its well known, accredited and has smart, well taught professors who are willing to help students more hours than needed. The Tsonga's center is always having events you can attend to. There is a huge sports field and on the river you can enjoy canoeing or kayaking. The third reason is because it is very easy to get around at North Campus which is where Engineering, math, accounting students, and science students are mostly. There are underground walkways and an above ground walkways connecting buildings so in the coldest of weather you do not have to walk outside. Umass Lowell is always staying on top of safety as well, practicing fire alarm drills, and improving safety around them.

If you enjoy exploring and discovering how the world works, then your going to enjoy studying in one of the STEM majors. UMass Lowell has a great facility for research The Burton company has their snow boards tested their, the MLB has chosen UMass Lowell to test their bats and do research on them. Even if your interest in the one STEM majors. They also have other great programs to offer that would cater to your needs. I just finished my first semester, and having just finished high school they are a lot of questions and concerns about not only about how was going to survive to my first semester there but what was I going to do in my four years at UMass Lowell. As a biology major, the counselors are really helpful let me get my bearings my first week. The counselors came to help guide and explain what was I going during four years there. Honestly, anyone should go to UMass Lowell who wants to go learn and better themselves for a well paying career.
