I would recommend DCHS on any possible occasion if I had a say in the matter because not only is the school diverse, challenging, full of school spirit, and engaging, but any school that is nationally ranked in the top 10% of all public high schools in the US sounds like a good school to me. Anyone else expecting to get an enriching experience out of high school should consider DC. Simply put, there is no downside to choosing DC as a high school and I'd recommend it to any 9-12th grader.

I would recommend a student to attend Douglas High School due to our successful Advanced Placement teachers and great extra curricular programs. There are multiple opportunities to become part of a club, engage in extracurricular activities, or explore the beautiful Sierras that our breathtaking mountains offer. Additionally, students may participate in higher educational classes that Douglas offers preparing them for fruitful careers. If a student wishes to learn a simplistic skill, such as art, we have multiple art programs interwoven in the school's courses that any student would enjoy. They could also take classes from professionals down the street in local shops. If art does not align with their forte, Douglas has classes emphasizing engineering, bio-medical, singing, acting, journalism, or agriculture etc. Ultimately, Douglas High School provides numerous opportunities to discover student's identities, talents, and passions.
