Anonymous,

Someone looking for a small campus and small class sizes should not attend UMass Amherst - UMass is a large university, however the number of benefits that come along with that greatly surpass any downfalls that couple with being at a large university.

A lazy, unmotivated, unambitious, fearful person should not attend University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

A student who should not attend Umass Amherst is one who has high anxiety levels because getting from class to class can cause anxiousness due to the overwhelming size of campus, someone who is shy might not like it at Umass Amherst either because people are very friendly and say hi and if a particular student doesn't handle confrontations very well (even if they are positive ones), Umass Amherst might not be the right school for them.

You should not attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst if all you're looking for is a party school. At any college you can find people to goof off with but at UMASS if you are not dedicated to learning you will not succeed. If you can't prioritize school and don't know when you need to stay in and study you should not go here.

Anyone who is unwilling to learn from any and all new people and experiences should not apply to UMass Amherst. The school is priceless for expanding and developing your understanding and outlooks on the world, and if someone is unwilling to learn from others, admit they are wrong, or see something from another's view, then they are missing out on what this school has to offer.
