  1. It welcomes and even caters to nontraditional students.
  2. Because of its nontraditional student population, professors are more understanding about life situations/emergencies that might arise. They are easy to work with while simultaneously not forfeiting high expectations/standards for their students.
  3. UB has a wide variety of fields of study, and it is constantly evolving to make room for unique interests, such as its young Integrated Arts program that is still blossoming.

The Law School program is one of two offered in Maryland, which offers an exceptional amount of help in obtaining a position during and after graduation. The location of the school is a reason to attend in itself, although Baltimore might not have the best reputation in the news at the moment, being a Baltimore resident all my life, I wouldn't want to attend anywhere else. The staff is extremely helpful and always willing to answer any questions.

It offers a great variety of majors. My degree, for example, is Creative Writing and Publishing Arts, offering a perfect combination of classes that I could not find anywhere else. The school has a great location in a good neighborhood of Baltimore; I know Baltimore has been getting a lot of bad press, but it really is a great city for a university student. The school also offers a world of opportunities for student involvement in areas outside of your major, which I appreciate; I like variety in my life experience.

Our school is very small; it was a grad school up until 2008. The school offers a lot of academic help to its students. The schools tuition is very low its on $4,500 for in state and $8,000 for out of state.
