The best way to describe an OCSA kid is abnormal. We still have a spectrum of normality, but if someone were to be normal, that would be odd to us.

OCHSA is extremely unique, where the student body is accepting of all colors, shapes, and sizes. A typical student at my school is, simply put, an artist. We thrive on the arts and receiving praise from our mentors and our peers. At OCHSA, there are wacky outfits, hair colors from the entire rainbow, and quirky personalities. The type of person who should attend OCHSA does not have to fit in a box: that is the beauty of my school. Any unique individual no matter their race, sexuality, or religious belief is judged or bullied. The environment is a truly exceptional one.

A typical OCSA kid would be considered as the "werido" or the "slightly-crazed" in a public school. We are a group of students who enjoy our specific talent that we are passionate about and want to somewhat pursue it later it life. (Although, that is not the case for every OCSA student) Since there is a mass acceptance of talents and identity, OCSA is an open community where one can be themselves at school along with their friends and peers.

A typical OC(H)SA student is very passionate about his/her causes and art, and very diverse. Everyone is really accepting of one another and there isn't too much division between people despite the different conservatories and grades. Additionally, most of the students are very interactive with one another and bright, not shying away from voicing their opinions and ideas out to people and helping one another. It's very hard to describe the type of person that should attend the school, as most people really discover themselves at the school and change a lot depending on who they really are. However, any prospective student should be open to the idea of change and acceptance, as well as have a passionate heart towards the arts and a mind set towards maintaining their grades at the same time. It can get a bit hectic with all of the different activities, as students are expected to maintain all levels of excellence in both school and the arts. However, it's a very rewarding experience to attend such a challenging and artistic school.
