If you're looking for a campus where you're more than a number, Coe is for you. The professors genuinely care and will contact you if you're suddenly missing in class. The administration works hard to make sure students' voices are heard and that they are approachable with any concerns or questions.
If you want to study multiple fields that maybe don't have a direct connections, Coe is for you. Some students major in one area, but the majority double majors and even some ambitious types tackle triple or quadruple majors. Coe will work with you to make sure that you can study everything you want in order to achieve your ultimate goals in a timely fashion. I've known Physics and Arts double majors, a Pre-Med, Philosophy, and Theatre triple major, and one student even created her own major in Classical Greek Studies.
If you want a tight-knit, accepting community, Coe is for you. There are active multicultural, LGBT+, and faith-based organizations on campus that not only meet regularly, but offer activities and events throughout the year to the whole college. The small size of the school combined with the open-mindedness of the student body and faculty creates this little pocket of acceptance in the middle of the Midwest where you're free to explore your identity and develop relationships that will support you wherever life may lead you.
