At Ringling College when people aren’t pulling their hair out over assignments we enjoy playing video games against one another. Some video games people like to crush others souls over is Smash Brothers. When we want to see day light after cooped up in our caves drawing, there is a beach only ten minutes away. The Sarasota beach is known as one of the best beaches to go to in the US. Lastly as dedicated artist we will goof around and draw one another in silly positions. In end as long as the community had one another we have fun.

The top 3 things students like to do for fun is,

  1. Make small clubs A lot of students enjoy making small clubs to get together with friends and meet new people. Sometimes these clubs involve cooking, video games, watching movies etc.

  2. Go to the beach. Since the beach is not to far from the school, a lot of students like to go there during their free time or day off from classes to relax and to just get away from school for a bit.

  3. Play sports There are many sporting events at the school.

I haven't started school yet, but from what I have heard there are a lot of things to do. Activities such as collaborating with other students, volunteering, and on campus events (parades, movies, and festivals).

As a Computer Animation student, free time can be hard to come by...but when we do, sleep, sunshine and socializing with friends are all happy, welcome breaks!

I am applying for entry for Fall of 2015, but as I understand it, students collaborate a lot on projects outside of assigned ones. They also spend a lot of time wandering around campus, hanging out with friends, and look for inspiration. The faculty and staff also put a lot of time into creating events for all students whether they be movie nights or costume balls, but the students seem to be involved in their campus.

Many students including myself are involved with volunteer opportunities through the school. These events range from parades, carnival days, art fairs, and group fitness rallies. Ringling is located in Sarasota, Florida so many students enjoy beach days and bring their artwork to the coast! Other fun activities we host are movie and bonfire nights, condom fashion shows (fun night for students to be reminded of safe sex practices), and coffee house (an open mic night sponsored by the school).
