The typical student at Powhatan High School would look something like that of the woods. There isn't a corner you could turn where someone isn't wearing camouflage; it's just the Powhatan way of life. If someone were to attend PHS they would want to look at heading to Bass Pro Shop for some good ole "camo." The majority of the students that attend PHS are kind. I personally have not seen any bullying through the hallways or in the classroom. Most of the students at PHS are mature enough to take the high road when it comes to belittling and being mean to others. This is one of the things I love most about my school; the atmosphere is healthy and refreshing.

There is no "typical" Powhatan High School student because I believe there is no typical person in the world. Everyone at PHS is unique in their own way and strives to understand each other. Our school is versatile in the groups people hang out with and the different friends they have. Our high school is the only one in the county so most of the students have grown up with each other, but are very welcoming of new students coming in. I would know because I came into the high school not knowing anyone and everyone welcomed me in with open arms. If i had to answer the question and describe the typical Powhatan High School student it would be accepting and approachable.

I moved to Powhatan High School district last year as a freshman, I was so nervous to attend a new school. My mother married my wonderful step father , but I needed to move. I was welcomed with open arms into this amazing school by the students and staff. To be a Powhatan student you need to have old fashion family values and show courtesy to others. There I feel so happy to be accepted for who I am and not judged by appearances. Everyone there is kind and accepting to each other.

The students at PHS are not what you call typical. We are a wide variety of "types". There are the jocks, the Tag kids, the dancers, the tom-girls and fancy girls, the kids on drugs and the kids with straight As. We don't have a type, we are all different but get along so well together and accept each other for who we are at PHS.
