Most students at parkway west are hard working, privileged and smart. West is listed as one of the top public schools in the United States. We didn't earn this title by slacking off. West offers a number of honors and AP classes that almost all students take. Even though we are a smart bunch there are still a few students, like at any other school, who slack off and don't care about school or what they are doing.

The typical Longhorn is a confident, smart, and outgoing student. Parkway West High School has over 1000 students so if you want to stand out and succeed you have to be confident. You have to know what your self worth is and be ready to show people that you are someone who knows what they want and will work very hard to get it. Parkway is one of the best schools in the state, ranking 8th in the state, therefore it's no doubt due to the great teachers and the smart students. These students study day and night to get the grades they want, they see the future and they're ready to go for it. Finally you must be an outgoing student to go to Parkway because there's so many programs, so many clubs, so many sports to get involved in and you'll never know unless you go for it! A Parkway student is ready to take the leap of chance, they're ready to go for the unknown, and they don't cut corners. That's what makes you a Parkway student!
