Student, Bard College, Class of 2016,
Bardians get asked this question quite often, and each time the answer is different. The answers can range from "art history major hipsters who read Plato for fun" to "baseball players who do barbeques every weekend". Bardians are extraordinary in that we are all different in our own special ways, and always changing. Throughout the years, the "typical" Bardian might gain a strange tattoo or dye the ends of their hair blue, but the insight gained from taking classes at Bard, living on campus, toughing through the meal plan blues, and paying $2.50 for a load of laundry, all the while meeting and and sticking with new and interesting people of all backgrounds, races, colors, genders, and identities, is truly incomparable. The typical Bard student is anything but.
