Student, Central Washington University, Class of 2020,
- Wide variety of great programs
- Tons of activities for all sorts of interests
- Relatively inexpensive compared to some other schools
The English Department is extremely intriguing; if a student finds the right faculty and staff, they will be more likely to graduate; and there are great locations to study across campus.
Centrally located in the state, easy to travel all over. It has four seasons which is nice. Plenty of places to hike, fish, and the professors are good as well!
The campus and the city are both beautiful. It's a really nice college town and the people there are pretty awesome. CWU offers so many majors, most of them being a bit out of the ordinary, making it a super fun place to go to school. You'll definitely find your major there, and the school has so many clubs, fun classes to take, lots of events, and tons of things to do for fun. It helps you not only stay entertained, but grow closer to those around you. It's a really great environment to be in.
Central Washington is a beautiful place to live, the university provides a wide variety of majors and minors, and there are many was to get involved with the community on campus.
It has the most fun and welcoming people I've met in awhile, Its a great campus i'm a huge movie buff and it looks and feels just like a movie, and lastly it honestly feels like home i'm accepted for who I am meant to be. I am just head over heels for CWU.
A few reasons someone should attend Central Washington University are the smaller than average classroom sizes, and I don't mean square feet. Central Washington's student-intructor ratio is smaller than the average university, giving more students one-on-one time and helping more students reach their educational goals. It is also a very friendly and welcoming campus, and anyone can see that from the moment they get there. The people around the campus are friendly and always willing to talk to a new person and try to welcome them the best they can. Another reason Central Washington University is a good choice is because it means more to be a Wildcat than it does to just "go to college". We take pride in being part of the CWU family and hold each other to that concept as well.
People should attend Central Washington because they're all bout helping in the academic area also improving ones character in breaking them out of their shell. Central Washington also has very good programs to help students get their dream job.
Tuition costs are low compared to other schools, CWU offers a large variety of degree programs, and the teaching faculty is experienced and attentive.
Our band program! It's the reason I chose Central. It's exceptional, and all of the professors are amazing.
The sights. It's a very pretty area, a sort of high desert feel. There are a lot of good trails and places to do outdoor activities.
Lastly, the community. It's a very small one, and if you need something everyone helps you.
Smaller than usual campus: it gives the experience of a large university without being too large. The entire campus can be walked through in less than five minutes. The local city, Ellensburg, is a fantastic historical site with many places to eat and things for young students to do. Finally, the Housing department and student-run organizations provide many programs, events, and activities for all students to attend and get active in their community.
An upcoming student should attend CWU for three reasons. First, they have satellite campuses. If you aren't able to move to their main campus, you may be able to attend one of their satellite ones! Second, they have a lot of great programs. If you're going into education, you're in luck! CWU has one of the best programs in the state of Washington. Third, the staff is extremely helpful and willing to help you succeed in your future plans!
You should attend Central Washington University if you enjoy a small town atmosphere for starters, the town is very tight knit because it is small, many of the local sports events get held in the schools gym as well as on our football field. Another reason why you should attend Central Washington University is if you enjoy the outdoors, there are beautiful hiking spots to waterfalls and mountain tops as well as places to go offroading. Lastly, you should attend Central Washington University because people are very friendly and welcoming and the professors are very helpful in that they actually care about how you are doing and are always willing to help you in any way they can.
The top three reasons someone should attend Central Washington University should be a good education, a project that they find interesting, and an advisor that they are compatible with. These should be the top three reasons for any college though. When a student is considering a university, the education they will receive should be the priority. However, the university is located in a nice, little town in Washington, where outdoor activity opportunities abound, which should also be considered.
The top three reasons someone should attend Central is because of the small class size. Having a small class means that the professor has more time for you and that you the student will be able to receive more help directly from the professor. This also means that the students will be able to build relationships with their professor. These relationships will clearly help the students with undergraduate research as well as applying to graduate school. Attending a smaller campus also gives you a bigger sense of attachment to your surrounding community. The price of tuition cannot be compared to other universities in the state
I think possible students should attend Central because it is in a beautiful location and the campus is really pretty; downtown historical Ellensburg and campus are filled with old brick buildings that are really cool, and there are lots of trees around campus that make it real pretty in spring. They should also attend Central because there are lots of really cool clubs for people to join from the diversity clubs, to student leadership, to social club like the cosplay club. And because there are lots of super fun activities around campus throughout the year, besides the weekly movies there are concerts, plays, and things just for fun. Last quarter my friend and I took part in the Pokemon Trainer day, basically a live action version of the game of Pokemon which was super fun.
Central Washington University provides an excellent environment to focus on school as it is in a small town that has far less distractions than a similar college in the middle of a big city would have. This was actually one of the main things I was looking at when I decided to attend CWU. There is also good groups of students out there that are very welcoming to newcomers. It is not hard to find people with similar interests who you can easily spend and enjoy yourself with. Central Washington University is also very affordable in comparison to other public institutions. The price allows for better financial flexibility if there are other things a student needs or wants to put their money towards.
1) To be in a historic rural area 2) To be a student athlete 3) To gain one of the best business educations in the world
Professors here are extremely devoted to teaching and helping motivated students to go above and beyond. The school has a wide variety of departments so one can achieve greater breadth. There is good cohesion between members of the departments.
The size of class rooms, The diversity of the school and the nature of the city with the hikes and waterfalls.
We have some of the most unique programs, from our aviation department to our renowned anthropology department (once home to signing chimps). Our programs are high quality (we ranked nationally for our teaching department) and are taught by inspiring and friendly staff. The campus is beautiful.
The tuition is not that expensive! Also Ellensburg area is beautiful, safe and homey! The campus offers a sense of home like feel that is not offered at bigger schools.
The environment is great. If you like small places with a lot of potential, then Central is your place. The music department is phenomenal. Its a good place to get an education.
Its close enough to home but far enough away the professors actually care about you the class sizes are not intimidating
If they live anywhere in WA, it is close to home but far enough away. It really is a smaill community, but there are a lot of outside adventures close by. it is a great school for education majors.
Small class sizes Small campus and town that makes everything accessible Relaxed atmosphere and pace
Central is one of the best communities I have met at this level of college. The staff does their best to work with you if you have a problem, the food is great, and the education level is the best I've seen at a state college.
