University of Florida is one of the best universities that I know of. It is personal and yet large enough to accommodate the actual college experience. The passion for conservation and the utilization of land is such an amazing part of the campus and the beauty that surrounds the campus is just inspiring. I love the science buildings and the facilities that they encompass. They are both motivating and inspiring to me in my field of study.

UNF has a large number of clubs/organizations that the student government mandates that there are no restrictions that can keep a person from joining one over another.

I think that University of North Florida is a great school because it is not too large but also not too small. You can attend class and get to know the professor on a personal basis as well as the students. I also love this place for the the environment. It is beautiful and has a great scenary to look at. The last reason I would pursuade someone to attend is for the great students that attend it. They are mostly sweet and caring people.

UNF is not a large college, therefore it has a more "family oriented" feeling. It has smaller class sizes which give a more personal feeling and a greater teacher-student ratio. The staff is very friendly, from Admissions to Professors to Sports Coaches; and the 24/7 security is provided by Jacksonville Police Department. There is also a 50% graduation rate.

The staff is more than happy to bend over backwards if it means only benefiting one student. The professors are also there for you not any reason more. First, the location. I am a transfer student who went from a campus that was in the middle of the financial district of a city to a campus that is on a nature preserve. While we Ospreys have some disdain for the geese that are seemingly ever-present, I believe we would all miss them if they were gone. Second, the faculty is some of the best instructors I have ever had. There is not a single academic field that UNF has boasts to have "the top professors" in, while how much of that is actually true is open to debate. What is true however, is that the professors are always ready to help students whenever they encounter the difficulties that come from academic study. Finally, the top reason to attend UNF is for the students. Unlike Ivy League schools or other "top tier" schools, UNF's students are almost always common folk who are attracted to greatness. We have a 50% graduation rate, not because UNF is easy, but because its students are some of the brightest minds that come out of undergraduate and graduate work. By attending UNF, one goes higher up the ladder of knowledge because your fellow students will not let you.

The University of North Florida is an incredible school for someone to attend because it is a respectable school, active faculty members and has a rich campus life. The school has been awarded many prestigious awards on a national basis, such as being named the best in the Southeast. It is an accredited school. It has such a reputation because of all of the opportunities it offers its students in and out of the classroom. On an academic, level there is someone guiding the student every step of the way. A student has many different avenues of solving a problem. They can go to OneStop, which is an office for most of a students needs. There is the Counseling Center, Woman's Center, Writing Center Career Services, and the Academic Center. All of these places have offices where a student can walk in, ask a question, and leave. They don't need to go through a huge process of setting up an appointment or waiting in lines to ask a simple question. If the specific center doesn't know the answer they will send you to the place to find the answer. It is nice to always have somewhere to go if a problem arises. UNF is also a great place to go because there is always something to do on campus. There are outdoor and indoor activities. People are always out walking around and being active on campus. There are plenty of opportunities to join clubs or groups. It is hard to find a university that can help so many in various aspects at such the high level that UNF does.

UNF is much less expensive than a private University such as Jacksonville University. The entire campus is a nature preserve, and it's gorgeous. You'll never be bored due to a lack of activities and events to go to.
