Students at Shasta College are involved in the sporting community. The town, and it's students, go to most sporting events-- especially football. The students also like going to Shasta lake and swimming. Since it is only minutes away, it is quick and easy fun. Lastly, the students go to the near by mountain to camp, fish, hunt, or go snowboarding during the winter.

My 3rd favorite thing to do as a Shasta College student is go check out the wonderful exhibits at Turtle Bay. They have amazing animals you can go check out and tons of activities for kids. And if you're a little low on cash and can't get in, it's placed right next to the breathtaking Sundial Bridge where there are wide open grass areas to get a Frisbee game going. My 2nd favorite thing to do is go see a dollar movie at the Park Marina Theater. It's right in the center of town and far cheaper than the movie theater on Old Alturas. But my #1 favorite thing to do is go see a production at the Shasta College Theater. We have THE best & biggest theater in Northern California. I've seen symphonies and plays there that are utterly awe-inspiring. The cast & crew there are incredible and deserve all the support from students and Redding citizens alike.

Many of the people at Shasta College enjoy weekend sports. We also love to read and volunteer for different organizations within our area.
