Anyone could attend Central High School. By anyone, I mean ANYONE. There is so much diversity, from students representing many countries, to students who have different sexuality. There are so many different types of people at Central. I, personally, have many friends who are from different countries, have different sexualities, different backgrounds, and etc. But the thing is that everyone accepts everyone else for who they are and no matter what kind of background they have, or look different. We have two specific programs that attracts many different kinds of people; ESL and the IB program. ESL stands for English as a Secondary Language and IB stands for International Baccalaureate. Because we are the only school in Springfield, Missouri to have both the IB program and ESL, it contributes to making Central so diverse. We also offer many clubs for different types of people, such as Salsa Club, Debate, Math Club, etc. Central is a place where one can learn many new things everyday, not only because it's a school, but because everyone is different and one can learn different things everyday from everyone.
