The type of student who should attend California High School is a student who is willing to learn, has big dreams and plans to attend a 4 year university. The staff is very friendly and they all encourage students to do very good in their classes. They remind us how important it is to get good grades so we could get accepted into a 4 year university and be on the road to preparing for our career. Students at California High School strive for success.

The type of student that is perfect for Cal High is an academic driven student and extra curricular enthusiast. At Cal, there are tons of advanced placement classes that a student can take and can get college credits if they pass the AP exams. There are also a lot of clubs, academies, and groups a student can join! There is a variety of clubs such as: Spanish Club, Club Eco, Club Mudd, Gender Equality, Key Club and Interact Club. There also six academies that students can join their sophomore year base on their possible future careers and or interests. They are: Puente Academy, Scholars Academy, Culinary Academy, Health Academy, Auto Academy, and Business Academy. Cal High has a lot to offer to their students and it is an awesome school to attend for high school.

The type of student who should attend California High School is any hard-working future oriented student looking for an environment both conducive to fun and healthy(if not intense) academic competition. Those are the kinds of students we have here at Cal, or at least the ones I've had the honor of knowing.
